Materials: Sustainable purple bamboo.
Sizing (approx): 4 cm W x 15 cm H
Before Use: Soak the bamboo matcha whisk in warm water to open up the delicate prongs.
Care: Hand wash only with warm water and leave to dry. Not suitable for the dishwasher.
Please note: As bamboo is a natural material, be careful not to use too much force when whisking matcha or else the strands will bend or break. Due to the natural material of bamboo, over time, the prongs will gently open up and start to straighten to the original shape of the bamboo.
How to make the perfect cup of matcha tea:
Step 1: Add 1 tea lab scoop (approx 3/4 of a teaspoon) of matcha green tea powder to a matcha bowl or small bowl.
Step 2: Fill your kettle with fresh water and boil to 80°C. (Not boiling)
Step 3: Pour a small amount of 80°C water into the bowl (around 50ml).
Step 4: Then using your matcha whisk (chasen), begin whisking in a "W" or "M" motion, until smooth and frothy.
Step 5: Gently pour from your matcha bowl into your mug or glass and top up with more 80°C water or hot frothed milk (or plant based milk) for a matcha latte.
TIP: Barista oat milk pairs well with matcha and also creates a velvety smooth matcha latte!
